First and foremost - HAPPY FATHERS DAY! To all of those loving fathers out there - you are so important in our lives!

A couple of weeks ago, I was commissioned to photograph a wedding in Cambridge, MD for Amy and Eddie. The location was gorgeous.  If you ever get a chance to travel down RT. 50 towards Ocean City, you MUST stop here and just look around.  The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina is a wonderful location for weddings/receptions and even just to have a mini vacation.

The day was a sweltering 100 degrees and we stuck it out in ALL black clothing.  BLACK absorbs so much heat - it is like a self made sauna.  We made it through all of the heat and got some fantastic shots.  Amy and Eddie were GREAT!

I have to thank my wonderful assistants (Leah, and Christine) and my trusty 2nd photographer Monica of The Smile Collector Photography.

Here are a few of my faves.  There were SO many great ones to choose from and I have hundreds still to process ~ but I wanted to post some teaser images for my wonderful clients.

CONGRATS AMY & EDDIE

I saw the lines in the waiting area near the elevators and became inspired by the circular recessed ceiling.

Amy's Grandmother was a trooper - that same week she had heart surgery and in order to go to her only Grandchild's wedding, she had a transfusion.  It became emotional when her Grandmother hugged her while the bridal party was getting ready.  Even though I was behind the lens to capture this moment - my eyes were filled with tears and could feel the emotions coming forward.  This is one of the reasons I feel so lucky to do what I do.  My clients chose me to record these special moments and I get to be a witness to one of the most important events in their lives...

At Grandma at the reception getting down with the bride! I just loved her sunglasses!!

Look at Amy's eyes!  They are ridiculously GORGEOUS! I wanted to hand color the flowers, and her eyes for an even more dramatic effect.

Amy & Eddie enlisted the help of these beautiful girls to be flower and petal girls.

These two newly-weds were on FIRE during our intimate portrait session!

Speaking of FIRES... ~ look at the dancing - they brought the heat to the reception.

These guys were so much fun ~  We wanted a FUN groomsmen portrait to remember!

Amy was BEAMING with happiness... this portrait was taken right after her finishing touches were added (before the ceremony).

AND last one for this post  - How CUTE is he? He was part of the ceremony and what an adorable addition he was!
