Whirlwind Wedding Weekend

This past weekend was crazy! I love this business. This past Saturday - it rained very hard during the day and the idea of outdoor portraits for the wedding was utterly impossible. But, we made the best out of it and it actually ended up being quite a nice evening. The ceremony was held at Saint John the Baptist, in Silver Spring, MD.
The reception location was the Brookville Inn, in Brookeville, MD. It was an inspiring location - I was able to take some fantastic images for my beautiful newly wed couple.
Congratulations to Tess & Matt - Have a wonderful time on your honeymoon!
Here are just a few teaser images I wanted to post for the lovely Mr & Mrs that I have breezed through thus far.
Because of the rain - Tess had to get ready in the Organ balcony of the church. It was oh so cramped, but we wanted to make use of as much time as possible and get some cute bridesmaids portraits done quickly...
This was shot hand-held at f.22 for 1/10th of a second! I just love those star bursts of lights.
I wanted to give this that movie screen look...
Out of the pages of a fairytale... A twirling gleeful bride...
I love this fantasy ~ whimsical look with the star burst!
Tess & Matt had beautiful Tacori ring sets. I wanted to showcase them in good ol' black and white.
Tess & Matt sure know how to throw a party!
So this is my signature image of the day! It was literally the LAST shot fired. I was NOT going to be able to sleep until I had the idea actually photographed as planned - I even asked the client if we could all stay a little later to ensure it was done - I was so pleased that I could show them this image - straight out of the camera with no hesitation. They said "THAT - is why we hired you". My eye and creativity ~ artistic vision is usually why my clients hire me to be there photographer. And I am so happy that I am chosen to be a part of and capture that very special day.
